No sleeping in for me
As a consultant for a local business, I was invited to their Christmas party last evening. It was decent enough for what it was, but the real adventure came afterward when a bunch of us hit a local dive, I mean bar. As is typical in such scenarios, I was a designated driver. And I'm quite certain that my services were necessary.
After plenty of good and bad karaoke, we hit IHOP before calling it an evening somewhere around three. I wouldn't have minded that so much, but I knew I needed to do one more Christmas thing before picking up the kids at their mom's in the morning, so sleeping in wasn't an option. AND I expect it to be a VERY long day. Ugh.
